1. Clay/Mud

Clay masks offer many benefits to your skin by using capillary action to absorb substances on the skin’s surface, as well as beneath. These substances can include sebum, bacteria, water and other toxins and irritants. They can also exfoliate dead skin cells and blackheads without friction.

2. Serum/Sheet Masks

Soaked in powerful ingredients, single use sheet masks are like serums as they are infused with products that provide anti-aging levels of hydration. Korean beauty has taken sheet masks to another level, becoming one of the most popular trends in the beauty world. Diverse and effective, these sheet masks work wonders to increase moisture levels and aid in the detoxification process.

3. Gel

Gel facemasks can potentially reduce puffiness, dark circles and inflammation caused by allergens. Facemask Hack: Pop your gel mask in the refrigerator, once it’s chilled, apply to your skin. The cold mask can help to constrict the blood vessels in the skin, particularly under the eyes, which can reduce the appearance of dark circles.

4. Crème

A crème mask is designed to moisturise and soothe dry or irritated skin. This type of mask is generally applied to freshly cleansed skin, and should remain on the skin for about 10-30 minutes. Using a crème mask can reduce the signs of ageing and the appearance of wrinkles.
